Won the 1991 Rugby World Cup with Australia, in which he made a victorious 9-3 start against Somoa.
He attended Marist College, Ashgrove and made his Wallaby debut in 1987.
He played in two Bledsoe Cups for the Wallabies but lost both.
His brother Daniel also became a rugby union footballer.
He was teammates with Simon Poidevin on the Australian squad that won the 1991 Rugby World Cup.
