Before fame
She first attracted attention as a contestant on Wipeout in 2008 where her personality prompted producers to approach her family about developing a reality series. She and her family then starred in Flying Wild Alaska beginning in 2011.

Family life
She was born to bush pilot Jim Tweto and station manager and pilot Ferno Tweto. She grew up helping with her family's regional airline in Unalakleet, Alaska. She has two sisters. Her father died in a plane crash in June 2023.
