Musician, composer, and singer who is known for his work in Lebanese music and Arabic music. He specializes in playing the Oud and travels throughout Lebanon and Europe to perform.
He first earned recognition at 5 when he played the Oud and received national attention. At 20, he enrolled in the National Conservatory of Beirut where he won several awards in collaboration with the University of the Holy Spirit in Kaslik Usek. He recorded his first CD in 2004.
He is known for having his new signature Oud playing method established and taught at the Ghassan Yammine Music School EDMGY in Lebanon.
He was born and raised in Achrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon and was inspired by his father who played the Oud or Arabic lute.
Marcel Khalife is a fellow Lebanese composer and singer who is also known for having played the Oud.
