American trial lawyer who specializes in civil rights, personal injury, and wrongful death lawsuits. Because of his past cases, he has earned the title "Black America's attorney general". In 2017 he founded his own law firm, Ben Crump LLC. In 2021 he was named one of the world's top 100 influential people by TIME magazine. His Instagram account, attorneycrump, has more than 650,000 followers. 

Before Fame

He was born in Lumberton, North Carolina. He attended South Plantation High School in Plantation, Florida before going to Florida State University where he earned both a degree in criminal studies and his Juris Doctor. 

Trivia

In college, he was a member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. In 2023, he began representing the family of Malcolm X.

Family Life

He is the oldest of nine siblings. He met his wife Dr. Genae Angelique Crump at Florida State University. The couple has a daughter named Brooklyn and has adopted two of his nephews.
