Brent Knopf

About

First rose to fame as one of the founding members of the indie rock band Menomena. He then formed his side project Ramona Falls in 2009 which not long after became his main focus when he departed Menomena in 2011.

Before Fame

Menomena formed in 2000 after he graduated from Dartmouth College and returned to Portland to work alongside his friends Danny Seim and Justin Harris.

Trivia

He formed the musical duo EL VY in 2015 alongside The National's Matt Berninger. They released their debut album Return to the Moon in 2015.

Family Life

His mother was a talented musician and often encouraged him to play their piano in his youth.

Associated With

Ramona Falls' debut album Intuit featured a massive medley of guest performances including an appearance by drummer Janet Weiss.
