British individual trampolinist who won the silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. By doing so, she became the first British trampolinist ever to earn an Olympic medal.
She grew up in the village of Wrenbury and began trampolining at age nine. She attended Brine Leas School as well Malbank School and Sixth Form College.
Early in her trampolining career, she suffered from a loss of motor skills commonly referred to as "the yips," which she eventually overcame with the help of a confidence coach.
Her younger brother Marcus has appeared on BBC Breakfast.
She and fellow British trampolinist Kat Driscoll both medaled at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
