About
Turkish screenwriter and director who is known for his work on the television series' Cemberimde Gul Oya as well as Asmali Konak. He is also known for his work in film including Alone in 2008 and My Father and My Son in 2005.
Before Fame
He began by studying television and film at Ege University Faculty of Communications. While attending, he earned the Sedat Simavi Award for two of his short films. After graduating in 1992, he began working as an assistant director for several different filmmakers. After several more short films, he wrote and directed the television series Good Morning Brother Istanbul in 1998 for ATV.
Trivia
He has won multiple awards for his filmmaking including the Peoples Choice Award at the Istanbul International Film Festival in 2006 for Babam ve Oglum. He is also known for having won the Grand Prize award at the Rhode Island International Film Festival in 2009 for Issiz Adam.
Family Life
He was born and raised in Seferihisar, Turkey.
