About

Filipino actress of the stage and screen best known for her roles across local and international productions of musical theater. Some of her most celebrated portrayals have included Kim and Gigi in Miss Saigon, The Queen in Sleeping Beauty, and the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical the Musical. She has also appeared on television series including Ang Munting Paraiso, Be Careful with My Heart, and Flower of Evil.

Before Fame

She started performing as a child at the Rep Children's Theater in 1993. There, she appeared in numerous productions of shows like Camelot, Annie, and Taming of the Shrew. She joined the London production of Miss Saigon in 1995 and remained there for two years.

Trivia

Among her many career accolades, she received a 2019 LEAF Award for Most Outstanding Actress in a Musical, for starring as Joy in Ang Huling El Bimbo. She has also received numerous ALIW Best Featured Actress in a Musical Awards for her performances over the years.

Family Life

In 2002, she married chef and dancer Godfrey Laforteza III. Together, they share three children. One of their children, a daughter named Sophia, is a performing artist and member of the girl group KATSEYE.
