About

Drag racer, team owner, and business executive known for competing in the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series as a Nitro Funny Car driver including winning his first NHRA Funny Car national event at the 2023 NHRA Finals. He is also known for being the President and CEO of Bond-Coat, Inc. and for operating Chad Green Motorsports.

Before fame

He built his career in drag racing through the Pro Mod ranks. He competed in Top Sportsman and Pro Mod events driving a nitrous-powered Corvette while developing his skills as both a driver and team owner. He was involved in a major crash at the NHRA U.S. Nationals in 2019 which resulted in him undergoing surgery for a lower back injury. He returned to competition and achieved a major milestone by winning the 2020 Summer Nationals in Pro Mod. He made his Nitro Funny Car debut in 2020. He won his first NHRA Funny Car national event at the 2023 NHRA Finals.

Trivia

He has won the NHRA Gatornationals in back-to-back years in 2025 and 2025. He is also known for his Instagram account where he shares race highlights, behind-the-scenes content, and updates from NHRA events. He has recorded a career-best run of 3.861 seconds at over 330 mph.

Family life

He is from Midland, Texas. He has been married. His son Hunter Green is also a drag racer who began competing in Funny Car.

Associated with

He has competed against NHRA legend John Force in Funny Car competition. He defeated Alexis DeJoria in the final round of the 2026 NHRA Gatornationals.
