Photographer who created the iPhone app Best Camera and founded the educational platform CreativeLive. He is the mind behind books like Seattle 100 (2010), which inspired the Emmy-nominated documentary Portrait of a City (2014). 

Before Fame

He attended San Diego State on a soccer scholarship. He originally planned on going to medical school but decided to pursue photography following an inspiring trip to Europe. 

Trivia

He contributed to the 2013 New York Times story "Snow Fall," which won the Pulitzer Prize.
