Known for her solo singing career following her time on NBC's reality singing competition series The Voice. She finished as a quarterfinalist during the show's second season in 2012.
She moved to Los Angeles with her family at age 16 to pursue a career in music. She first auditioned for The Voice in 2011.
In September 2012, she released her debut solo single, "I'm Not Perfect," featuring the Filipina singer Charice. The song reached #1 in Asia and #12 in the US' iTunes' pop chart. She then released her debut album, Naked, in April 2013.
She was born and raised in Oahu, Hawaii. Her brother is music director Tony Laureta.
She was chosen to be a member of CeeLo Green's team, and was mentored by Babyface, during her time on The Voice in 2012.
