Before Fame

Her first experience with acting occurred in 1986 when she and her sister Katy-Jo Howman appeared as children in their father's BBC sitcom Brush Strokes. Her experience encouraged her to pursue an acting career. She attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Her early television appearances include roles in Jack and Jeremy's Real Lives in 1996 and Kiss Me Kate in 1998.
