Comedian, actor, writer, and YouTube star known for his viral character Gayle Waters-Waters from the comedy web series Gayle along with his stand-up comedy specials Showpig, Hell, and Chris Fleming: Live at the Palace. He is also known for appearing in TV series such as Corporate, Splitting Up Together, Abbott Elementary, and for voicing characters in Adventure Time: Distant Lands, Summer Camp Island, The Great North, and Bigtop Burger.

Before fame

He attended Nashoba Regional High School. He began performing stand-up comedy as a teenager at The Comedy Studio in Cambridge under instructor Rick Jenkins. He performed at HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival in 2007 while he was still in high school. He attended Skidmore College where he studied theater and graduated in 2009. He worked as an SAT tutor early in his career while developing his comedy and filming his web series Gayle. He created the Gayle series in 2012 and released 40 episodes by 2015 with his viral video "Company Is Coming" reaching millions of views and becoming his online breakout.

Trivia

He originally developed the character Gayle Waters-Waters from his live stand-up act before turning it into a web series. He has released touring shows such as Showpig, Boba Everyday, Forest Musings, and Tricky Tricky. He was named one of Variety's "10 Comics to Watch" in 2019. His song "Sick Jan" was inspired by a real tax preparer he once had.

Family life

He was born and raised in Stow, Massachusetts. His family appeared in his Gayle series with his mother playing Bonnie and his father providing the legs for Gayle's husband Dave.

He has collaborated with Margaret Cho who guest-starred in Gayle in 2013. He appeared on Abbott Elementary alongside Quinta Brunson.
