Voice actor known for his work in anime and video games including voicing Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Kamisato Ayato in Genshin Impact, and Rauru in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. He is also known for voicing Illumi Zoldyck in Hunter x Hunter, Athrun Zala in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, and V.IV Rusty in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. He is further known for doing voice work in series such as Pokémon, One-Punch Man, The Seven Deadly Sins, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, and Sword Art Online.

Before fame

He initially attended college for music but discovered acting and shifted his focus toward performance. He trained for several years before he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in voice acting in the early 2000s. His first breakout role was voicing Boey in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia in 2017. His big break came in 2019 by voicing Dimitri in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He first did voice work for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in 2023. 

Trivia

He was nominated in 2016 for a Behind the Voice Actors Award for Breakthrough Voice Actor of the Year. He has appeared at conventions such as Anime Expo, Anime NYC, and San Japan. He is also known for his Instagram account @ChrisHackneyGGK where he shares updates about his projects and appearances. He is a fan of trading card games.

Family life

He was born and raised in Cocoa, Florida. He is a father.
