Well known for portraying the villain Pat Phelan in the long-running series Coronation Street, the British actor has also been a part of shows called Always and Everyone, Buried, Murder City, Drop Dead Gorgeous and The Case.
He previously worked as a lifeguard and as a car salesman. His first taste of acting was with the Barbican Theatre in Plymouth.
He won the 2016 British Soap Award for Villain of the Year for his part in Coronation Street. He pursued a fine arts degree and would enjoy painting in his spare time.
He was born in Toxteth, Liverpool, Merseyside, England.
He played the TV husband of Sue Cleaver's character of Eileen Phelan in Coronation Street.
