Actress known for her roles on Mad About You and L.A. Law. In 1978, she garnered a BAFTA nomination for her portrayal of Wallis Simpson in Edward & Mrs. Simpson.

She graduated from Smith College with a degree in Literature and Theater. She made her Broadway debut in 1963.
