Daniel Gregory Amen

About

American celebrity doctor and psychiatrist who specializes in brain injuries and disorders. He is the medical director of his six Amen clinics and owns a business built on the use of SPECT (single-photon emission computed tomography). He is a five-time New York Times best-selling author (contributing to more than 30 publications total) and has produced television programming on platforms such as PBS.

He attended the University of Maryland, Orange Coast College, Southern California College, and Oral Roberts University School of Medicine.

In addition to his formal schooling, he completed training at both Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Tripler Army Medical Center. He was born in Los Angeles, California, and is of Lebanese descent. He married his wife Tana, a registered nurse, in 2008. The couple has a daughter named Chloe.
