Retired footballer chosen in 2003 by the Football Federation of the Republic of Macedonia as its Golden Player.
He joined the Yugoslav First League in 1982 and quickly became a top scorer.
He joined the Red Star Belgrade in 1988 but had to take a year off from soccer in order to serve a mandatory term in the Yugoslav People's Army.
He married Maja Grozdanovska, a singer, and the couple had two daughters.
He was born in the same year as Czech soccer player, Tomas Skuhravy.
