American former professional baseball player and athlete who is best known for playing as a catcher for MLB teams including the Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, and Milwaukee Brewers. He also played for the Kiwoom Heroes in the KBO League in addition to several minor league teams.
Before fame
After graduating from Elk Grove High School, he attended Cosumnes River College, where he played collegiate baseball and achieved All-American honors. He also played baseball for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors after having transferred to the University of Hawaii for his last two years of college.
Trivia
He was chosen in the 15th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft by the Washington Nationals. On January 5, 2023, Freitas signed a minor league contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He played in 29 games for the Triple-A Oklahoma City Dodgers, batting .295 with five homers and 26 RBI. Freitas elected free agency following the season on November 6.
Family life
He and his college sweetheart, Kacee Freitas, married in 2013. Together, they share two sons.
