David Matranga

About

Perhaps most famous for his BTVA Anime Dub Award winning role as the Wolf Man in the 2012 Japanese animated film Wolf Children, Matranga is also known for voicing characters in My Hero Academia, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, Hiiro no Kakera, and numerous other anime productions.

Before Fame

Early in his career, he voiced two characters in the 1998 anime series Generator Gawl.

Trivia

He voiced the character of Johnny Rico in the 2012 animated action film Starship Troopers: Invasion.

Family Life

A native of Houston, Texas, he performed at several professional arts venues in his hometown, including The Alley Theatre and Stages Repertory Theatre.

Associated With

In 2013, he won a Behind the Voice Actors (BTVA) Anime Dub Award for Best Male Supporting Vocal Performance in an Anime Movie/Special, a category in which Mike Pollock was also nominated.
