Vietnamese American music producer, singer, and songwriter known for his music projects goodnight, good for health, bad for education, c'est la vie, and goodnight, pt. II, as well as songs such as "it kills me (feat. keshi)," "serene//rewind," "i won't let you feel alone again," "keep smiling," "grief," "final scene," and "never meant to hurt you."

Before fame

He developed an interest in music at a young age and began playing piano when he was around 4 years old. He began playing the guitar and singing in middle school and began posting piano covers on YouTube in 2014. He began producing and writing songs independently during his teenage years. He dropped out of high school when he was 16 years old to focus on music full-time. He released early projects such as compilation I in 2017. His career began accelerating after the release of his goodnight EP in 2018.

Trivia

He is a fan of video games and anime. His stage name came from his Tumblr username which was inspired by a character from the Final Fantasy gaming franchise. He released the song "it kills me (feat. keshi)" in 2018 which became one of his most recognized collaborations. His album goodnight, pt. II was released in 2022 as a follow up to his earlier breakout EP and he released the albums WIRED and psychosis also in 2022.

Family life

His real name is Minh Ta. He was born and raised in the United States. He has Vietnamese heritage. He has older brothers.
