About
Bible teacher and theologian best known for his daily radio show, Derek Prince Legacy Radio, which has been broadcast around the globe in numerous languages. Throughout his life and career, he recorded over 900 audio teachings and over 100 video sermons. He and his family traveled in ministry across an extensive list of countries including Russia, Indonesia, Kenya, and Portugal.
Before Fame
He attended Eton College and Cambridge University, where he studied both Greek and Latin. Originally a self-described atheist, it wasn't until he began serving with the British army in World War II that he became a Christian and started to study the Bible.

He has authored numerous publications including Praying for the Government, The Grace of Yielding, God is a Matchmaker, and Secrets of a Prayer Warrior.
Family Life
He married Lydia Christensen, a Danish missionary, in 1946, becoming a father to her eight adopted daughters before also adopting one more with her. After her death in 1975, he married Ruth Baker and became father to her three adopted children, and they traveled in ministry together until her death in 1998. He passed away at his home in Jerusalem in 2003.
