American professional wrestler and entertainer best known for his eccentric persona and horror-comedy aesthetic. He is also widely known for his recognizable face paint and frequent utterance of the phrase, "very nice, very evil." He has competed in notable promotions such as Ring of Honor (ROH), and All Elite Wrestling (AEW), in addition to numerous independent circuits.
Before Fame
Before launching his wrestling career, he worked various ordinary jobs. He started training as a wrestler in the late 2000s, originally focusing on a more traditional style before transitioning to the comedic approach for which he became famous. He has stated that horror films such as Sam Raimi's Evil Dead II franchise had a major influence on his in-ring persona.
Trivia
In 2021, he launched a signature coffee blend in collaboration with the Rootless Coffee Company called Danhausen Coffeehausen. He has trademarked the catchphrases "Love that Danhausen" and "Very nice, very evil" in addition to the distinctive appearance of his face paint. This was allegedly the first time a wrestler trademarked their physical appearance, according to his attorney, the "Gimmick Lawyer," Michael Dockins. In 2020 and 2021, he was ranked at #158 and #171, respectively, on Pro Wrestling Illustrated's list of Top Singles Wrestlers in the PWI 500. In 2020, he won a ROH Year-End Award for Best New Star.
Family Life
In 2018, he married Canadian burlesque dancer Lauren Jiles, who is known professionally as Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière, becoming a stepfather to her daughter. They later welcomed their first child together, a son, in 2025.

He won the Black Label Pro (BLP) Tag Team Championship with Ethan Page and Hornswoggle. He has stated that his persona's voice was inspired by television personality Conan O'Brien and Mark Hamill's portrayal of The Joker.
