Champion of the 8th season of MasterChef Australia in 2016 who was working as a school teacher at the time. She taught visual arts and became head of creative and performing arts at Galston High School.
She graduated from the College of Fine Arts at the University of New South Wales before earning her postgraduate degree in teaching from the University of Sydney.
She was unsuccessful in her first audition attempt for MasterChef in 2015. She applied again the following year and was accepted with her fish and chips audition dish.
She was born in Cooroy, Queensland, Australia. She has a sister.
Her predecessor as MasterChef Australia champion was Billie McKay.
