Before Fame

She attended Sargodha Degree College and then earned her Master's in Arabic from the University of the Punjab in 1982. She began her academic career as a lecturer at the International Islamic University Islamabad teaching Qur'an and Hadith-related subjects. She moved to Scotland and completed her PhD at the University of Glasgow in 1990. She established Al-Huda International in 1994 to provide women's Islamic education.
