Nicknamed "the conjurer on the River Kwai," he is a WWII veteran and former prisoner of war who also became the the longest-tenured member of the Magic Circle. During the fall of Singapore, he was captured by the Japanese and forced to work on the Burma Railway.
His magician past began when he was 18 years old as the conjurer Wizardus. He was the youngest member of the Magic Circle at the time.
He would perform card tricks while captured to distract and entertain Japanese guards, allowing him and friends to have more food rations and longer breaks.
He married his wife Lucille in 1941.
Magician and Britain's Got Talent champion Richard Jones brought Fergus on to the stage during the final act of the reality show.
