Former American professional field lacrosse player and highly regarded face-off specialist, widely known by his nickname "The Beast," best known for competing in the Major League Lacrosse (MLL) and Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). He was also a member of the gold-medal winning Team USA in the 2018 World Lacrosse Championship. He is credited with revolutionizing the face-off position in lacrosse, having recorded an extraordinary number of wins and co-founded The Faceoff Academy to train and mentor young athletes in the discipline.
Before Fame
He played collegiate lacrosse at Penn State University, where he was a four-year letterman. During his senior year, he served as co-captain of the team and became the school's all-time leader in face-off wins. Throughout his youth, he also participated in wrestling.
Trivia
He received the MLL's MVP award in 2015. That same year, he set the league's single season record for most ground balls, most face-off wins, and highest face-off win percentage. He also set the American national record for international faceoff percentage at a tournament, after recording 81% wins in a world game while representing Team USA.

He shares a son named Jackson with his wife, Jenny.

In 2018, he came out of retirement and returned to the field as a member of the Redwoods Lacrosse Club in Paul Rabil's then-newly established Premier Lacrosse League.
