Known for her prolific solo composing career in which she has released various albums of her own original piano and orchestral compositions. In 2012, she released her 3rd full-length album of original classical works titled Intervention.
She began her training as a classical pianist at age 4. She subsequently learned a wide variety of other orchestral instruments. She began composing at the outset of her collegiate career, but dropped out before finishing her degree.
In 2003, she served as a musical assistant to Howard Shore during the composing of The Lord of the Rings film score. Her second album Embers, released in 2010, became the most requested album on the UK radio station Classic FM shortly after its release.
She was born and raised in Hampshire, England.
Her duties while working for Howard Shore on The Lord of the Rings' film score was as his copy editor for various scene-specific compositions.
