Singer of folk music affectionately referred to by fans as the "western cheesy music diva." Over the course of her decades-long singing career, she's gained substantial renown for hit singles like "Greedy Man," "Separation Minute, "Indelible Millennials," and "Rooster." She has released over a dozen full-length albums including "Unforgettable," "Man's Tongue," and "Predestination."

Before Fame

She earned her college degree from the Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts. She started her musical career by singing folk music and appearing in music videos. She relocated to the United States after being signed as an exclusive singer by her first major label Van Village Center in the late 1990s.

Family Life

Her birth name is Nguyen Thi Yen Khoa. Her parents are both former members of the Vietnam War Dance Troupe. They both still occasionally perform in dance shows with the Ho Chi Minh City Veterans Association. In 2006, she married director Dong Giao, with whom she has a son.
