Before Fame
He began wrestling at the age of four. In 2006 he began training with, and continued training with Eierman until his move to the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado in 2018.
Trivia
His wrestling nickname is "The Matrix". He won bronze for his weight class at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. He has lost most of the hearing in his left ear and some of the hearing in his right; because of this he has learnt American Sign Lauguage, and pushed to teach wrestling-related ASL.
