Before Fame

With a passion early on, he wrestled in high school and received critical attention for his 179-0 record. He then attended Ohio State where he and his team made the NCAA team championships. 

Trivia

He is both the youngest Olympic gold medalist as well as the youngest World Champion in American wrestling history. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in Woodbine, Maryland.

He competed against Jake Varner at the 2016 US Olympic Team Trials championships, defeating him in two out of three matches.
