TikTok star and naturalist who films vlogs and conversations with his great grandnephew Nathan. He and Damon answer followers' questions and he shares his wisdom and anecdotes about life. He has earned more than 1.7 million followers on his askunclejack account. It was announced in 2023 that he and Damon would release a do-authored book titled Ask Uncle Jack: 100 Years of Wisdom. In July 2023, he turned 100 years old. 

Before Fame

He served in World War II in the Army and the US Medical Corps. He was stationed in Australia and the Philippines. He spent much of his life as an ornithologist, naturalist, and spending time hiking and exploring nature.

Trivia

He loves sketching, carvings, paintings, and making birdhouses. Growing up, he raised a wild coyote named Tito, a bobcat, a rhesus monkey and more in his backyard. His great-nephew launched a Go Fund Me crowdfunding campaign, which helped raise money for his care in an assisted living facility. In many of his TikToks, he can be seen offering advice, life wisdom, and positive messages to his fans. Over time, his TikToks have amassed more than 21 million total likes. He raises ring-necked doves at his home. He has partnered with Visit Camarillo, Everest.com and the Los Angeles Zoo where he celebrated his 100th birthday.

Family Life

He never married or had any children. He had one older brother named Junior "Van," and was close to his mother, Beth, and his father, Grover. He was born in Glendale, California. He has been close with Damon, whose father Dirk was Junior's son, since Damon was nine years old. He lives in Camarillo.
