Before fame
He earned a computer science degree in 2000 at the University of East Anglia. The following year, he continued his education at Cranfield University, completing a master's in Motorsport Engineering and Management.

In July of 2017, the University of East Anglia awarded him an honorary Doctor of Science for his accomplishments in motorsport. He is a social media star who has amassed over 600,000 followers on his jv.f1 Instagram account.
Family life
His wife is a surgeon, and they have two children, born in 2023 and 2025.
