Australian Croatian tennis player, broadcaster, and author known for reaching No. 4 in the world rankings and for eventually becoming a Channel Nine tennis commentator. She is also known for having amassed over 340,000 Instagram followers.

Before fame

She began playing tennis when she was 6 years old. She won the 1998 US Open girls' singles title and finished that year ranked No. 1 in the world junior rankings. She reached the Wimbledon semifinals in 2000 and finished fourth at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Trivia

She achieved her career-high ranking of No. 4 in August 2002 and won six WTA singles titles. Her documentary Unbreakable: The Jelena Dokic Story was released in 2024 and won the 2025 Logie Award for Best Factual or Documentary Program. She won the inaugural Bruce McAvaney Award for Most Popular Sports Presenter at the 2026 Logie Awards.

Family life

She was born in Osijek, Croatia, to Damir and Ljiljana Dokic and has a younger brother named Savo. She moved with her family from Croatia to Australia in 1994.
