British rapper, music artist, and producer known for his genre-blending hip-hop, reggae, and pop-influenced music, for songs including "Rising Star," "Raise Em Up," "All Falls Down," "Real Life," "Warrior," "I'm a Star," "Rise Again (Remix)," and "Raise Em Up (Remix), "and for his family connection and collaborations with his cousin Ed Sheeran. He collaborated with Ed Sheeran on the song "Raise Em Up" which helped introduce his music to a wider international audience.

Before fame

He grew up listening to hip-hop and reggae which would eventually shape his musical style. He started a hip-hop duo called LOCKDOWN in 2000 before he eventually pursued a solo career. He released "Raise Em Up" with Ed Sheeran in 2010. He released the Warrior EP and signed a publishing deal with EMI in 2011. He featured Ed Sheeran on his song "Real Life" in 2012 and again on "'All Falls Down" in 2013. He released Tropical House - Cruises to Jamaica in 2017 which featured many different reggae artists. He released "Rising Star" in 2025.

Trivia

He has released music under both Alonestar and Jethro Sheeran and some releases credit both names. He won Best Urban Song and Best Male Artist at the Exposure Music Awards in 2019.

He was born and raised in Bristol, England. He is third cousins with Ed Sheeran.

He gained renewed attention in 2025 after releasing a remix of an Eminem song titled "Rise Again (Remix)." His single "Rising Star" featured Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, Young Thug, and Future.
