American politician and former law enforcement officer who is best recognized as serving as the 31st governor of Nevada since January 2023. He is a member of the Republican Party, and was the 17th sheriff of Clark County from 2015 to 2023. His Twitter account Joe Lombardo has gained over 20,000 followers. 

Before Fame

He was born in Japan and moved to Las Vegas in 1976. In 1980, he graduated from Rancho High School. He graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Trivia

Before becoming an officer in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department in 1988, he served in the United States Army. He spent more than 30 years working in law enforcement. 

Family Life

In 2015, he married Donna Alderson. He has a daughter from a previous marriage. He was born in Japan, and his father was a US Air Force veteran.
