Prime Minister of Norway who entered the office in October 2021 after the resignation of Erna Solberg. He has also served as the leader of the nation's Labour Party since 2014. His political leanings are best described as the business-friendly right-wing of the Labour Party.

Before Fame

He attended the Norwegian Naval Academy where he underwent naval officer training before beginning his career in politics.

Trivia

He began his political career associated with the Conservative party, but after some mentorship under Gro Harlem Brundtland, he shifted to the Labour Party. He posts photos from his daily life on his jonasgahrs Instagram page. In January 2023, he posted a photo from the Sundvolden Hotel, which was used as temporary triage for victims of a terrorist attack that occurred in 2011.

Family Life

He was born into a wealthy family, his late father having been a ship broker. He and his wife Marit have three sons together.

In July 2022, he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to announce Norway's humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
