As the kicker for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, he finished third all-time on the team in points scored, and was an All Big-12 selection.
In 2005, his best year with the Seahawks, he made two field goals of 50 and 56 yards in a single game; that same year the team won the NFC Championship.
He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has two sons named Kempber and Kobe, as well as a daughter named Georgia.
Off the field, he starred in an episode of Jackass 3D, where he kicked a football into Preston Lacy's face.
