Canadian-born stage and screen actor who performed in the Broadway productions of In the Heights, American Idiot, and The Scottsboro Boys. He received a Drama Desk Award for In the Heights and was nominated for a Tony for The Scottsboro Boys.
After playing the lead role in a high school production of The Music Man, he graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in theater.
He appeared on such television shows as Kings and Nip/Tuck.
He was born in Manitoba, Canada and raised in Florida. He married Cathryn Stringer in 2012. They welcomed a son named Samson Peter in 2018, and their twins named Max and Leo were born in March 2021.
