Musician and singer recognized as a member of the musical projects Galaxy and Austra. A solo artist as well, she released the 2008 solo album Join Us.

Before Fame

A classically trained singer, she began performing with the Canadian Children’s Opera Chorus at ten. She would later form the band Galaxy.

Trivia

Austra released their debut album Feel It Break in 2011 and followed in 2013 with Olympia.

She identifies as queer and is of Latvian-descent.
