Ecuadorian-born poet, songwriter, and children's author known for her romantic, socio-political, and historical poems. She is perhaps best known for a 1995 collection entitled Poesia y Cantares.
She took classes in economics and tourism and also worked as a professional singer and voice-over artist.
Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, she moved to California in 1985.
She raised three children: Gabrielle, Marcel, and Bernardo Cobos.
She was honored by Los Angeles mayor James Hahn for her community activism.
