Kenyan-American rapper, singer, and songwriter who has become a prominent figure in the music industry, most notably with his contribution to the production of Kanye West's 2021 studio album, "Donda." In 2025, he released his solo studio album, "Who is KayCyy?" under BuVision and Columbia Records. He has also released numerous EPs including "Having My Way" and "Who Else Would it Be."  

Before Fame

He relocated to Saint Paul, MN when he was around 9 y ears old. He attended Tartan Senior High School and often spent his breaks from school in New York City to work on his music. After graduating from high school, he relocated to New York City and later to Los Angeles to pursue his music career fulltime. 

Trivia

He has also gone by aliases including King Confidence, The Glue, and Pluman. He won a Grammy Award for Best Melodic Rap Performance for his vocals on the Kanye West song, "Hurricane." He also received a Grammy Award nomination for Album of the Year with "Donda."

Family Life

He was born Mark Makora Mbogo. His parents are from the Kisii ethnic group of Kenya, where he was born.
