He began his career in the mens fashion industry, eventually working as a GQ insider. He spent his early years as a buyer for companies like Macy's and Gucci.
Studying at Morehouse College, he earned a degree in international studies and went on to work in the U.S. Senate before taking a left turn into fashion.
His parents emigrated to the U.S. from Nigeria.
He opened for August Alsina at Washington, D.C.'s Howard Theatre.
