Best known by the stage name Big Moe, his rap style was described as a mix of rapping and singing called "rapsinging." He released charting albums titled City of Syrup, Purple World and Moe Life.
He was a star football player in high school. He was a founding member of the Original Screwed Up Click.
An album of his was released posthumously in 2008 called Unfinished Business.
He died after a heart attack left him in a coma for one week.
