Kitra Cahana

About

American-born Canadian photographer who worked as a contributing photographer to National Geographic Magazine. She is also known for having been a TED talk speaker and in 2016 she was granted a TED Senior Fellowship.

Before fame

She obtained a bachelor's degree in philosophy from McGill University.

She was a recipient of the World Press Photo Award for Arts and Entertainment.

Family life

Her father Ronnie Cahana suffered from a stroke, leaving him with locked-in syndrome.
