Before fame
He attended Thibodaux High School in Louisiana where he was both a standout football and basketball player. He earned First Team All-District honors and helped his high school win a 5A state championship in basketball. He began his college career at the University of Louisiana with the Ragin' Cajuns in 2020 and played as a true freshman. He transferred to LSU and played for the Tigers from 2022 to 2024. He declared for the 2025 NFL Draft in December 2024 and participated in LSU's Pro Day in March 2025.
Trivia
He played in both the Sun Belt Conference and the SEC. He was part of LSU teams coached by Brian Kelly who took over the program in 2022 and helped develop him into a top receiver by his senior year. He stayed entirely in his home state of Louisiana for his entire football career.
Family life
He was born and raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He was the son of Kenny and Kandace Lacy. He had two brothers named Jayden and Liam. He came from an athletic family as his aunt played college basketball at Nicholls State University. He died by suicide during a police pursuit after a personal incident at home in April 2025.
