Stage actress, dancer, and singer known for her work on Broadway and London's West En and for starring in major productions including A Chorus Line, The Will Rogers Follies, Crazy for You, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Seven Year Itch, Contact, The Producers, and Bliss. She is also known for her film and television roles in Home Alone 2, United 93, Proof, Submerged, W.E., and Numb3rs.

Before Fame

She began dancing professionally when she was 3 years old and earned a scholarship to the Boston Ballet when she was 16. She performed with the company for two years before dancing with Fort Worth Ballet and Eglevsky Ballet. She expanded into musical theatre by training in tap, jazz, modern, and The Meisner Technique. She made her Broadway debut in 1991 in the Tony-winning musical The Will Rogers Follies and appeared in her first film role in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York in 1992. She then performed in hit Broadway shows such as Crazy for You, Forum, and originated her Chicago role in 1996. She moved to London in 1999 and made her West End debut in The Seven Year Itch and later starring in Chicago, Contact, and The Producers.

Trivia

She holds dual American and British citizenship. She won the 2013 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for her performance as Sheila in A Chorus Line at the London Palladium.

Family Life

She married Scottish singer, actor, and former member of the band Foreigner Domenick Allen in the 1990s. They have one daughter together named Cayleigh Capaldi who is also a stage actress.
