Before Fame

She made her screen acting debut at the age of eighteen, appearing in two 1953 Filipino films: Ating Pag-ibig and Apat Na Taga.

Trivia

Between 1955 and 1975, she won two FAMAS (Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences) awards and was nominated for fourteen more.

Family Life

She was born in the Philippines to a Filipina mother and an American father. Her marriage to fellow Filipino actor and frequent co-star Eddie Arenas ended in divorce.

Associated With

She appeared with screen legend Eddie Garcia in an early 1960s action film called Kapitan Lolita Limbas.
