Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who won his fifth gold medal at the World Jiu-Jitsu Championships in 2018. He has become one of few competitors to win the four World, European, Pan American, and Brazilian national tournaments while a black belt.
He began his jiu-jitsu career in 2000. He was an avid athlete growing up, competing in futsal, judo, and swimming before focusing solely on jiu-jitsu.
He won three straight World No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu Championships between 2009-2011. He also won four straight No-Gi Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Championships between 2009-2012.
He was born and raised in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
He and Mario Reis have both represented Team Alliance at international Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments.
