Canadian chef, recipe developer, and food entrepreneur known for being the creator of the popular food brand Cook Eat. She is also known for her social media platforms where she shares approachable and comforting recipes that blend professional cooking with her background in social work.
Before Fame
She started cooking in middle school and often recreated restaurant dishes at home. She continued to cook regularly for friends during her university years. She attended the University of Guelph where she studied social work. She began documenting the meals she cooked for herself and friends while attending university by launching an Instagram account called Cook Eat in late 2015. She decided to pursue food professionally after graduating university. She attended culinary school and worked weekends at Mary Be Kitchen. She joined the kitchen team at Aloette in 2017 and worked there for three years.
Trivia
She began cooking private dinners in the early 2020s. She is known for donating 10 percent of the proceeds from every private dinner to a charity chosen by the client. She started a free weekly recipe newsletter during the COVID-19 pandemic which eventually turned into her Substack.
